Professional & Personal Support

At Ganden Hospice, personal care services help families ensure that their loved ones have a trusted companion by their side throughout daily life. Our care providers are available to meet each client’s social and personal needs—whether through occasional short visits, regular check-ins, or full-day support—based on individual preferences and levels of care required.Spending even a few hours in the company of a compassionate, friendly, and supportive care provider can make a meaningful difference in a client’s well-being. Just as importantly, families gain peace of mind knowing their loved one is not alone between visits.

What Do Personal Caregivers Do?

Personal and Home Care Aides provide housekeeping and routine personal care services. They clean the patient’s house, do laundry, change bed linens, shop for food, and cook meals. In addition, aides may drive the client to doctor’s or other appointments, help them bathe, get dressed, and eat.

Compassionate & Competent Care Providers

Personal Care Services is a solution that empowers Clients to maintain a rich and meaningful social life at any age. Ganden Hospice professional Care Providers can assist by:

  1. Maintaining socialization and communication skills through frequent interaction and friendly dialogue
  2. Stabilizing during walking by holding a hand or arm in the home or out and about
  3. Accompanying Clients to appointments, errands, or events
  4. Providing grooming and cosmetic assistance (brushing hair, applying makeup, filing and polishing nails) to improve self-confidence and self-image
  5. Performing light household tasks (preparing meals, doing laundry, straightening living areas, etc.) to make the home environment pleasant

Companion Care Can Save A Life

An attentive Companion facilitates communication with family and other Care Providers regarding a Client’s overall health and state of mind. Since the Companion interacts with the Client regularly in everyday settings, they may catch warning signs of potentially serious issues before they become crises. For example, a Caregiver may notice changes in behavior or witness unusual incidents that deserve close attention. These insights can be invaluable in ensuring the highest possible level of proactive care.
